The image was made with attention to the traditional iconographic canon. The faces and hands of the figures are painted, while the robes and the background are covered by an artfully crafted metal cloth (ryza). The dress is characterized by rich, raised relief imitating precious stones, pearls and intricate embroidery. The whole piece is framed in a decorative frame, decorated with floral motifs, which is an integral part of the composition.
