Maintained in the convention of contemporary surrealism portrait of a bust against a vast landscape. Instead of a face - an intricate composition of silky fabric scrolls and a bouquet of flowers, evoking associations with Arcimboldo's play with the representation of nature and man. The soft light, the classicizing composition and the jeweler's attention to the texture of the fabrics and petals build a refined, poetic aura in which elegance collides with mystery.

Antonia Beauvoir (born 1979) is a contemporary visual artist working at the intersection of fine art printmaking, photography and painting.
