Many of Piass's most famous works depict women. Sometimes shown in the foreground, at other times forming part of a broader compositional concept, they are a constant motif in the Spanish painter's work. And although they are sometimes deprived of their natural beauty in avant-garde paintings and look unrealistic, they often have their prototypes. For Pablo Picasso had many muses. But his "eye in the head was Maya daughter, the fruit of his relationship with Marie-Therese Walter, which lasted about 10 years. He even kept pieces of her and her hair as an amulet to protect her." Portraits of Maya painted by her father became the subject of one exhibition in Paris. In this painting, Maya is about 3 years old, and the boat on her lap was meant to symbolize childhood, innocence and be a reference to life's journey. In the context of Picasso, who often wove personal and symbolic elements into his works, the boat could also refer to his relationship with his daughter, her dreams and aspirations. Picasso was not only one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, but also a father who often included his children in his work, which influenced his stylistic evolution. His family-related works show the diversity of his talent and the changes in his approach to art over the years.
