Zdzislaw Król (14 March 1921 Krakow - 19 July 2002 Gdansk),
Graphic artist, graphic editor. In 1940, a student at Professor Alfred Terlecki's Private School of Painting in Cracow, until 1942 at the Staatliche Handwerker und Kunstgewerbeschule (State School of Handicrafts and Arts) in Cracow.
From November 15, 1948 to March 31, 1981, he was graphics editor of Głos Wybrzeża, and also worked with other publications.
He created vignettes and illustrations, especially for poetry and literary texts in newspapers. He created graphic designs, covers and illustrations for books, He presented his graphic works at several exhibitions: in the Autumn Salon of the Gdansk District of the Union of Polish Artists (ZPAP) Sopot 1957, in the Journalist Club, Gdansk 1961, in the Officers' Club, Gdansk-Wrzeszcz 1962. Since 1949 a member of the Graphics Section of the Gdansk District of the ZPAP, since 1965 an ordinary member.
His graphic works are in the collections of the Modern Art Division of the National Museum in Gdansk and in private collections at home and abroad.
Awarded the Cross of Valor (occupation years), the Knight's Cross of the Order of Rebirth of Poland (1973), the badges "For Merit to Gdansk" (1968) and "Meritorious to the Land of Gdansk" (1973).
