Set containing a handwritten letter from Berlin, dated April 17, 1883, and a concert program compiled by Barcewicz himself. The letter is addressed to an unknown recipient and mentions the organization of a concert in Prague, while the program lists the pieces Barcewicz was to perform, including Concerto No. 2 by Henryk Wieniawski, as well as works by Bach, Laub, and Sarasate.Stanisław Barcewicz was a prominent Polish violinist, conductor, and pedagogue. He studied under Henryk Wieniawski and Léon Massart, became a court soloist in St. Petersburg, and later served as director of the Warsaw Conservatory. Renowned for his brilliant technique and noble tone, his interpretations of Wieniawski and Tchaikovsky’s works were highly esteemed.
