Lot description
Decorative wooden frame in a combination of gilding and black color, inspired by ancient architecture. The frame construction is architecturally structured, with a pair of smooth columns on the sides, supporting a profiled cornice. The lower part is decorated with an ornamental strip with a delicate floral motif that contrasts with the black lacquered background. This type of frame was popular in the second half of the 19th century, when historicist styles were inspired by classicist and renaissance designs.
