Lot information
Flint marine trombone (so-called rail rifle) from around 1800, probably of Western European origin. A heavy, solid brass barrel with a circular cross-section with a flared muzzle, seated in a sturdy dark-stained walnut stock. The weapon is intended for fixation on the ship's railing using a spike, which is part of the original set. Lock with classic flintlock mechanism, steel components of the lock in good condition. The stock in the rear part on the left is cracked. Weapon without visible manufacturer or user markings. Dimensions
