Lot information
The front plate of German black and white armor made in the 19th century as part of historicism, inspired by the Renaissance armor of the 16th century. The front plate is made of steel, shaped into an anatomical profile that adapts to the shape of the chest. The surface is divided by vertical ribs and edging, which emphasizes the contrast between the black and white areas. The upper edge is slightly curved and reinforced for better neck protection. On the shoulder edges, rings are fixed for attaching the back plate or the cleat. Dimensions
