The French writer Victor Hugo completed the writing of his novel "The Miserables", during his stay in the room above the main entrance door of this hotel. This building that was located at the intersection of state roads N5 and N27, was demolished in 1963. The balustrade of the balcony of his room is instead preserved in the museum of Le Caillou, where Napoleon kept his headquarters during the battle. Ø 30 mm. Ae. 5,96 g Rare
