Rare.Obv.: Features the inscription "ЗА ОСВОБОЖДЕНИЕ" ("FOR LIBERATION") along the top, "БЕЛГРАДА" ("BELGRADE") in the center, a five-pointed star at the top, and a laurel wreath along the edge. Rev.: Displays the date of Belgrade's liberation, "20 ОКТЯБРЯ 1944" ("20 October 1944"), with a five-pointed star above the date. Ribbon: Green silk moiré, 24 mm wide, with a central black stripe 8 mm wide. The Medal "For the Liberation of Belgrade" is a Soviet award established on June 9, 1945, by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. It was awarded to servicemen of the Red Army, the Navy, and NKVD troops who participated directly in the assault and liberation of Belgrade from September 29 to October 22, 1944, as well as to the organizers and leaders of the combat operations during the city's liberation. Approximately 70,000 individuals were awarded the Medal "For the Liberation of Belgrade.
