Omas Lucens medium size fountain pen The Lucens model was introduced in 1936.
The word "Lucens" is Latin and means "shiny", "full of light". The denomination was chosen to highlight the transparency of the barrel, which allowed ink visibility and a great capacity, thanks to the innovative reverse plunger mechanism.
Omas Lucens models were produced in three sizes and initially they had a greek key cap band which was later simplified into three cap rings. During wartime cap finish became chrome-colored in association with steel nibs, whose alloy was called “Permanio".
This Lucens is a medium size with wartime finish in excellent condition. The pen has a steel nib which is marked “DoVas” which is a very clever imitation of a Permanio nib. Some minor marks on the cap. The pen is in working order but has not been tested for writing. Barrel imprint very crisp.
Condition: Very good
Nib: steel, not original
