Albertyna Kacalak - Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. Currently a doctoral student at the same university. She deals mainly with painting, but in her artistic search she also reaches into the areas of video art and drawing. She has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, art symposia and plein-air painting workshops.
"My attitude to matter has always been very strongly emphasized in all my works. In the beginning I used the matter of paint and canvas. Subsequent years of my work saw a move away from the realism of representations to emotion and the creation of moods, building my own worlds, sometimes on the verge of abstraction. Over time, I began to realize compositions combining elements from different materials and artistic techniques. Experimenting, constantly adapting new structures and materials, transgressing the common identity of the object, I became convinced that the simpler the form, the more expressive the call - the content".
