In a large throne room, lit only by chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, the standing ruler in dark clothing with a long, fur-trimmed cloak, matching bonnet and a golden chain, probably with the Order of the Golden Fleece. Above him hangs a family coat of arms, as well as several framed family portraits on the walls of the room. To the side of the ruler are several standing deputies and ministers in predominantly dark-coloured clothing. At the bottom left of the picture are three children and below the ruler, standing on the floor, a white and grey greyhound. The meeting was probably organised on the occasion of a political event or a peace treaty. Painting with strong contrasts of light and dark, the faces of the members of parliament with a portrait-like character. Oil on canvas, on hardboard. 70 x 95 cm.
