Giacomo Borgogno is a historic estate, distinguished for the region, whose wines have been served and opened at many important national celebrations. Best known for its Riserva wines, as well as single vineyard labels: from Cannubi, Fossati, and being their monopole Liste.
Organic cultivation, some of it certified, fermentation in concrete vats and storing the wines in cellars for extended periods are the producer's hallmarks. Each of the vintages on offer provides a glimpse of the producer's style at a different stage of development.
2008 is a vintage with a cool and elegant expression. It requires aeration to share the fruit aromas. It is dominated by woodsy, earthy, dry notes.
