A set of three photographs depicting Ignacy Jan Paderewski during the convention of the Polish Army Veterans Association in America, which took place on June 22, 1941, in Oak Ridge, New Jersey. Despite his advanced age and very poor health, Paderewski attended the meeting and delivered his final public speech from an open-top car, appealing to the Polish community to continue their generosity and support for Poland as it fought against Germany. He died a week later, on June 29, 1941, in New York City.
